THE SWEET 16 SPECULATION -
THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE BET IS THIS - You have 16 teams in total, 4 teams from each of the four English Football Leagues. You place an accumulator bet on every one of the 16 teams to win using £1 or £2 whatever the minimum is where you bet.
The idea behind this is that throughout the course of a football season you have 40 chances for all 16 teams to win on any given day.
If you go back through the weekly results of previous years and pick 16 teams in the way detailed below then chances are that all 16 teams will win at some point by rule of chance on the same day. All it takes is for 4 teams from each of the 4 leagues to win on any given day and the profit from £1 is huge. I had started the system a few years back but got side tracked and forgot about it, my friend who I am obviously happy for, got winnings of £13000 from a £1 bet using this exact system.
HOW DOES IT WORK? - So you pick 4 teams from the Premiership, Championship, league 1 & League 2. To create your 16 teams they can be from any position in the league table. For better odds purposes it is recommended to choose 2 from the top 4 in each league and 2 from the next 6 in the table. Previous years' league results are the best to base your game on.
Then take a visit to a betting shop each week or find the betting slips online and tick each team you have in your 16 to win regardless of whether home or away then bet the lowest denominator, this could be as low as 25p but bet from £1 to make it feel worthwhile :). So you would be placing an accumulator bet on all 16 teams to win using minimum £1 or sometimes £2 online. You can bet more if you wish but I always saw this as an alternative to the Lottery!
